Expertise and understanding are required when restoring an antique. The initial phase involves assessing the amount of maintenance a piece needs. Original materials such as horsehair, hog hair, finishes, etc. must be preserved when desired to maintain authenticity. Adjustments and modifications are also allowed as desired by the customer.
